`pow` — Exponentiation

Usage

pow(x: a,
y: a) →
a

Type constraints: Floating<a>

Backtick infix use: precedence 8; associativity: right.

Arguments

x:: The base
y:: The exponent

Description

Raises x to the power y. The exponent need not be an integer: for example, pow(9.0,0.5) is 3.0.

Examples

pow(2.0,3.0)

pow(9.0,0.5)
